10 Reasons to Come to Saint Denis

1. A Quest for Excellence Since 1858

We offer a rigorous level of teaching led by motivated teachers and staff.

2. Individual Tutoring and Help for Pupils

We want our pupils to flourish and our staff supports every child to make this happen.

3. Global Citizenship

We welcome students from around the world.  Saint Denis allows each student to develop his or her language skills.  International students benefit from a unique French as a Foreign Language programme.  All of our students also learn English and an additional second or third language, including Spanish, Chinese or German.  European and International Sections exist for those students who would like to attain a higher level of English.

4. Middle and High School Boarding Houses

We board more than 400 students from Monday through Friday during the academic year. Our students reside in purpose built accommodation on separate sites. Every room accommodates between 2 and 4 pupils and includes en suite facilities, Internet and sports equipment. On the weekend, international students stay with host families.

5. A Diverse Programme of Activities

We encourage our students to invest in extra-curricular sports, cultural activities and community service. These include collective and individual sports, music, theatre, dance, swimming, student run organizations and various other pastimes.

6. The Bac in 4 Years

Pupils experiencing academic or personal challenges can benefit from a remedial programme that enables them to study for the Baccalaureate over 4 years instead of 3.

7. Ready to Listen

The educational team at Saint Denis is always ready to listen and be there for our students.

8. Extra-Curricular Experiences

Throughout the course of the school year, numerous projects are organised for pupils: Science competitions, the International Festival of Arts and Sciences, sports competitions, in addition to linguistic exchanges in the UK, USA, New Zealand, China, Spain, Germany and multiple other destinations.

9. Spiritual Growth

We welcome students of all faiths and backgrounds.  We think each young person has an undiscovered potential and our goal as educators is to help guide them to success with respect to Christian values.

10. A Safe, Accessible Environment in the Garden of France

Our school is situated in the Loire Valley, a UNESCO worldwide heritage site, full of history and famous castles visited by people from around the world. Pupils benefit from a calm living environment in the medieval town of Loches, which possesses a variety of restaurants, shops, cafés and much more.

Rich countryside, forests, cycle paths, streams and trails surround our school.  Regular bus lines connect Loches to the vibrant student city of Tours, nicknamed “Little Paris,” for its cosmopolitan and artistic culture.  Paris is just one hour from Tours on the high-speed rail connection.  The Tours airport provides easy connection to London, Dublin, Porto, Marrakesh, Marseilles, etc.
